The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shephard throws out a powerful jab.
Smith doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Shephard makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Smith shoots in for a takedown but Shephard shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Smith definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Jack Shephard seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Shephard lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
