The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Montoya shoots in for a takedown but McGregor shows good takedown defense.
McGregor throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
McGregor misses with a double jab.
Montoya looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
McGregor misses with a two punch combination.
Montoya will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Leif Montoya. That's going to take a lot out of him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Montoya goes for a double leg but McGregor avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as McGregor continues to drive forward.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Montoya connects with a nice short shot to McGregor's temple.

Montoya throws a nice looking combination but McGregor bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Montoya changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. McGregor looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Montoya is working to tighten his grip on McGregor's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. McGregor has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Montoya is really squeezing tight and eventually McGregor passes out! Montoya breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
