The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Akbar swings and misses with a hook to the body.

We've been hearing reports that Bordignon Miyao has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Bordignon Miyao seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
My spies in El Tico 's Academy inform me that Akbar has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!

A less than humble Joao Ricardo Bordignon Miyao misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
