Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are William Gold, Daniel Bishop and Colin Fotheringham.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Saint Claire tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Devil defends well and Saint Claire ends up having to push Devil into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Devil with the counter takedown but Saint Claire avoids it easily.
Saint Claire throws a right and a left that both miss.
Devil changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Saint Claire has closed the distance and engaged Devil in a clinch.
Devil drops down looking for an ankle pick but Saint Claire pulls his leg out and moves away.
Saint Claire changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Devil looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Devil trying to control but Saint Claire flips him over like a cheap hooker and has his back!
Saint Claire gets his hands free as Devil looks to control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Devil tries to roll but Saint Claire sticks to his back.
What can Devil do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!
Saint Claire is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Saint Claire gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Saint Claire gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Saint Claire apologises and we restart here on the feet.
Saint Claire decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Saint Claire wants to free his trapped foot but Devil is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Saint Claire looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Saint Claire is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Devil!
Devil tries to lock up and control but Saint Claire gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Devil is desperately trying to improve his position but Saint Claire has a good base and remains in mount.

Devil is looking to get to half guard.
The referee warns Devil that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Saint Claire jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Devil manages to avoid the submission attempt.

Saint Claire in side control lands a decent elbow.

Saint Claire tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Saint Claire has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Devil tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Saint Claire wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Saint Claire has control of an arm but Devil manages to advance to Saint Claire's back!
Saint Claire turns into Devil and is now in his guard.
Saint Claire passes Devil's left leg - he's now in half guard.

Saint Claire moves nicely into side control.
Saint Claire thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
No joy there for Saint Claire, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Devil slaps away a takedown attempt from Saint Claire, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Saint Claire misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Devil with the counter takedown but Saint Claire avoids it easily.
Saint Claire tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Devil swivels and escapes.
Saint Claire fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Saint Claire decides to stand back up. Saint Claire steps back and let's Devil get back to his feet.
Saint Claire dives in and grabs Devil's left leg, looking for a takedown. Devil pushes down on Saint Claire's head and hops out.
Saint Claire pivots, looking for a leg kick but Devil is out of range and Saint Claire settles back down.
Devil is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.

And Devil tries to counter it with a takedown but Saint Claire pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Devil blocks a head kick by Saint Claire.
Devil tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Saint Claire clinches up against the cage.
Saint Claire breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Saint Claire moves into the clinch.

Devil wants a takedown.
Come on Saint Claire - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Saint Claire escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Saint Claire definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Saint Claire closes the distance and clinches up with Devil, looking for a takedown. Saint Claire pushes Devil against the cage but Devil circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Devil has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Saint Claire avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Saint Claire has picked Devil up - he's going for a ride! Saint Claire dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Devil wants to get back to full guard.
Saint Claire is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Devil can do to turn this around?

Saint Claire wants to stand but Devil has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
Saint Claire seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Saint Claire wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Devil's closed guard. He's half up but Devil has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Devil pivots and extends the arm, Saint Claire falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Devil! Well done that man!

Tommy Devil was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
