The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smite fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Smite fails to land the takedown.
Cook appears to be looking for a big counter.
Smite fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Abram Cook has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Fuzz Smite.

and Cook holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Cook is trying to push Smite away but Smite has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Smite has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Cook after a bit of a struggle.

Cook really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Cook bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Cook shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Cook showed some decent athleticism there.
Smite scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Cook manages to mount him!
Cook will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Cook looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
Smite tries to lock up and control but Cook gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Cook lands with some strikes.
Smite is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Cook with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

Cook trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Smite really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Cook. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Smite tries to lock up and control but Cook gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Cook gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!

Cook shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Smite sprawls well. Smite wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Cook gets slowly back to his feet.

Smite throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Cook tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Smite is in Cook's guard.

Cook pushes Smite off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.

Fuzz Smite seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Cook throws the kick towards the body but Smite avoids it.
Smite now looks to counter with a shot at the body.

Smite darts in looking for a takedown but Cook gets double underhooks and turns Smite into the cage.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Smite goes for a takedown attempt but Cook pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Smite tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Cook's elbow.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Cook decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Cook throws a wild body kick that Smite sees coming a mile off.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Cook misses with a head kick.
Cook throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Smite's waist but Smite gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Cook off to one side.

Fuzz Smite showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Smite shoots for a takedown but Cook saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Cook changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Smite fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Smite takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Smite is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Cook dives into side control.

Cook thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Cook cracks Smite with an elbow. That is naaassty.
Cook working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Smite is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Cook is one step ahead and moves to full mount!
The referee warns Smite that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Smite sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

Cook is looking for a kimura but Smite is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Cook to get the leverage.

Smite is trying is best to control the position here.
Cook is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Smite is looking to get back to is feet but Cook passes into side control.
Cook just content to control the position.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Smite moves into the clinch.
Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Smite.
Cook tries to score a body lock takedown but Smite shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
