Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between King Mejia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kalevi Kurmo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, King Mejia!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Kalevi Kurmo!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Sam Margolis and Richard Clark.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kurmo shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Mejia but Mejia pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Mejia drops down looking for a counter takedown but Kurmo sprawls and moves away.

Kurmo has Mejia pressed against the cage, preventing Mejia from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Kurmo is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

The referee asks Kurmo politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Kurmo prefers to stall for the moment though.

A big shot lands for Kurmo! That's hurt Mejia! Will he recover? Kurmo fires away with more strikes and the referee has to step in to stop the fight!
