The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Masters misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
McComiskey connects with a right hand. Masters shakes it off.

McComiskey closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Masters quickly recovers to half guard.

McComiskey throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Masters's waist but Masters gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing McComiskey off to one side.
As McComiskey looks to move away, Masters throws a big counter combo but McComiskey just gets out of the way.
Masters tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but McComiskey swivels and escapes.

The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as McComiskey checks a leg kick.

McComiskey dives in and grabs Masters's left leg, looking for a takedown. Masters pushes down on McComiskey's head and hops out.

McComiskey feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
