Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Edgar Bowen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Eagles (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mike Eagles is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Edgar Bowen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mike Eagles!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Daniel Franklin and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Eagles fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Bowen looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Bowen avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Eagles throws an overhand right that lands on Bowen's shoulder, as Bowen tries to avoid the shot.
The fighters circle momentarily. Eagles darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Bowen ducks under a wild hook from Eagles.
The fight stays on the outside here - Bowen looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Eagles misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Bowen.

and Bowen counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Bowen throwing shots but Eagles is blocking nicely.
Eagles is concentrating on defense, preventing Bowen from advancing position.
Eagles tries to roll over but Bowen keeps him under control.

Bowen is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Bowen seems to be working for a kimura but Eagles defends the submission attempt.

Eagles controlling the position for now.

Bowen is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Bowen is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Eagles defends it well.
Eagles wants to get back to full guard.
Eagles is controlling Bowen's trapped leg to prevent Bowen from advancing to side control.
Eagles is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Bowen lands strikes from half guard.

Bowen wants to work for an arm triangle but Eagles is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Bowen is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Eagles doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Bowen.

Eagles wants to control but Bowen is keeping busy.
Eagles tries to roll over but Bowen keeps him under control.

Eagles wants to improve his position but Bowen is controlling well.
Bowen has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Eagles is controlling Bowen's position as best he can from this difficult position.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Eagles is concentrating on defense, preventing Bowen from advancing position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bowen working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Bowen will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Eagles avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Bowen.
Eagles is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Eagles is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.
Bowen really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Bowen is working for a kimura but Eagles is defending it quite comfortably.

Bowen is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Eagles is just riding it out for now. Bowen eventually gives up the hold.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Edgar Bowen dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Bowen blocks a jab.
Bowen slips a jab and a cross from Eagles.
A slow jab from Eagles misses its intended target.
A big left from Eagles misses.
Bowen slips a jab and a cross from Eagles.
Bowen takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Bowen slips a straight right by Eagles.
Bowen appears to be looking for a big counter.
Eagles fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Bowen looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Eagles stalks Bowen and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Bowen's face. Bowen staggers backwards, shaken.
Eagles cracks Bowen with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Bowen on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.


Bowen is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Eagles lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Bowen falls backwards - clearly groggy! Eagles dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:56 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mike Eagles!
