Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Nathanial Francis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Henric Lanvins!
The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Matheus Silva and Luis Engracia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lanvins shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Francis napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Francis can't do much from the bottom here.
Francis keeping his opponent close.
Francis on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
Francis pushes Lanvins away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Lanvins gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Lanvins moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Lanvins is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Francis has escaped the position, nice work there.

Francis is looking to regain half guard here but Lanvins keeps moving and retains side control.
Lanvins trying to control the position but Francis is working away.
Francis can't do much from the bottom here.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Lanvins tries for a kimura but Francis is defending well.

Francis is not content to let Lanvins control the position.
Lanvins working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter.

Francis is trying to control Lanvins's posture but Lanvins avoids it.
Lanvins wants to stand but Francis is controlling his arm.
Francis is trying to get back to his feet.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Francis blocks a head kick by Lanvins.
Francis fails to land the takedown.
Lanvins tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
A looping hook to the body misses from Francis. Lanvins does a little dance to reset his feet.

Francis tries to sprawl but Lanvins drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Francis scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Lanvins manages to mount him!

Lanvins wants to control the pace but Francis is squirming around nicely.
Lanvins content just to control the position here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Lanvins raining down hammerfists from mount.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Lanvins throws some wild stikes that Francis manages to avoid easily.
Lanvins controlling the position easily from mount.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Henric Lanvins dominated that round.

Francis throws a sloppy head kick

and Lanvins counters by clinching up.
Lanvins fails to pull the fight into his guard.
The referee is keeping an eye on Francis - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

Lanvins pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Lanvins scores with a takedown into Francis's guard.
Lanvins trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Francis looking to control.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Lanvins accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Lanvins pushes down on Francis's leg and manages to get into half guard.

Lanvins is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Henric Lanvins has got the better of the ground game so far.
Lanvins takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Lanvins is looking to advance position but Francis won't allow it.
Francis trying to hold on to Lanvins's head to control him but Lanvins postures up.
Lanvins slows the pace down in half guard.
Francis is in trouble now - Lanvins has advanced to mount!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Poor strikes thrown by Lanvins there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Lanvins has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Lanvins trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Lanvins with good strikes from the mount here!


Francis is rocked!
Lanvins lands a big elbow.
Oh Francis is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Lanvins postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked Francis badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of Lanvins around the waist but Lanvins pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Lanvins is the winner by TKO! Lanvins jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:58 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Henric Lanvins!
