The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

McAdams closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
McAdams in side control lands a decent elbow.

McAdams wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Nunes, who protects the arm well.

McAdams working over Nunes with some ground and pound. Nunes looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. McAdams lands a nice short elbow.

McAdams is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Nunes defends it well.

McAdams is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Nunes is just riding it out for now. McAdams eventually gives up the hold.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. McAdams connects with a nice short shot to Nunes's temple.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Nunes regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from McAdams.
McAdams keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Nunes's head.
McAdams postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
McAdams throws a strike but Nunes rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

McAdams is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Nunes is aware though and is defending well.

McAdams bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Nunes's guard.

McAdams stands up over Nunes, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells McAdams's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
McAdams content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
McAdams postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Nunes covers up, he's hurt! McAdams keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from McAdams and the ref steps in to end the fight! McAdams can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.
