The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Darrow tries to close the distance and clinch but Walian swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Walian shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Darrow eats them both and turns towards Walian to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Walian. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Darrow has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Ronnie Darrow.
