Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mega Pope (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Holly Stackhouse (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Stackhouse's choice of entrance music: Tool - Jambi. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Holly Stackhouse!
The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Micheangelo Fripello and Chris Saunders.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sloppy strikes from Pope. Those never looked like landing.
Pope throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Stackhouse throws a counter combo.
Pope misses with a double jab.
Stackhouse is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
Pope misses with a leg kick
and Stackhouse counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Pope closes the distance looking to clinch
and Stackhouse counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Pope walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Stackhouse throws out a powerful jab.
Pope avoids a punch combination nicely.
Pope appears to be looking for a big counter.
Stackhouse works Pope's body with a nice hook.
Pope shoots in for a double leg but Stackhouse sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Stackhouse uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Pope.
Stackhouse lands with a nice body punch.
Pope throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Stackhouse counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Stackhouse is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
Pope is breathing heavily.
Stackhouse throws a right hand that Pope ducks under and follows up with a left that Pope also avoids with ease.
Stackhouse's coach down at Bonsai Club MMA was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Stackhouse's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Pope tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Stackhouse paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Stackhouse drops Pope with a beautiful combination! Pope stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Stackhouse is looking for the KO!

Pope is rocked!

It looks like Mega Pope has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Stackhouse blocks a head kick by Pope.
Pope tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Stackhouse avoids the head kick by Pope.
Stackhouse rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Pope moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Pope wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.

Pope rushes Stackhouse and presses him up against the cage.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.
Pope has a couple of punches blocked by Stackhouse.
Pope throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Stackhouse blocks it with crossed arms.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Stackhouse lands with a right to the head.
Stackhouse lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Pope.
A right handed body shot lands from Stackhouse.
Nice body punch from Stackhouse.
A short uppercut from Stackhouse.
Pope has been working on his balance at Hilo MMA Academy , so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by Stackhouse.

Stackhouse breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Oooooh!!! Stackhouse has knocked Pope down with a huge combo! Stackhouse steps away and waves a wobbly Pope back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
Oh Pope is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Pope backs away from a small jab... but Stackhouse lunges forward with a huge superman punch! Pope crumples to the ground as his mouth piece is sent flying! Stackhouse with a spectacular finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Superman Punch). Holly Stackhouse!
