The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Paulsen Ambrosius and Paul Aken.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnston throws a head kick but Sirel moves out of range.
Sirel tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Johnston defends well and Sirel ends up having to push Johnston into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Sirel just manages to avoid a counter high kick fromJohnston.
Sirel blocks a head kick by Johnston.
Sirel throws a sloppy head kick and Johnston moves out of range easily.
Johnston is looking for a counter combo.
Sirel shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Johnston as he avoids it easily.
Johnston tries to close the distance and clinch but Sirel swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Johnston drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Sirel wants to get back to his feet but Johnston passes into half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Johnston cracks Sirel with a big elbow.
Johnston is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Sirel is trying to escape and Johnston transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Sirel is forced to tap! Nice work there by Johnston! Very nice indeed!
