Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Pekka Kindmark!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Eric Verra!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Dillan Fox and Yves DeLean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kindmark has Verra up against the cage in a clinch.

We've been hearing reports that Kindmark has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

Kindmark seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Verra for as long as he can get away with.

Verra uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Kindmark has time to react.

Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Kindmark takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
Verra has been looking to improve his clinch game in recent weeks. Kindmark seems to have the measure of him in the clinch so far, so let's see if Verra can turn it around.

Pekka Kindmark overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Verra can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Kindmark controls the pace.

Kindmark's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
