Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Carlton Kerhley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Malachi Leatherwood (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Carlton Kerhley!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Malachi Leatherwood!
The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Aleksandr Martynov and Valeri Chadov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice defenses there by Kerhley.

Leatherwood gets caught napping as Kerhley dives in and scores a takedown. Leatherwood manages to retain guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Kerhley stands and throws Leatherwood's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Leatherwood is looking to reverse the position.

Kerhley looks up at the clock and then as Leatherwood takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Kerhley smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Kerhley tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.

Leatherwood can't do much from the bottom here.
Leatherwood is looking to reverse the position.
Leatherwood avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Kerhley.

Kerhley tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Kerhley has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Kerhley has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
The ground and pound from Kerhley seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.

Kerhley working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Kerhley wants to control but Leatherwood is keeping him busy.

Kerhley throws an elbow but Leatherwood slips to the side and avoids it well.

Kerhley misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Leatherwood really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kerhley. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Leatherwood is not content to let Kerhley control the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kerhley wants to control but Leatherwood is keeping him busy.

Leatherwood changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Leatherwood tries to bum rush Kerhley with a series of wild strikes but Kerhley uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Kerhley drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Leatherwood is looking to stand back up but Kerhley counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Leatherwood.

Kerhley wants to control but Leatherwood is keeping him busy.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Kerhley is working for a submission of some sort.
Leatherwood tries to get to full guard but Kerhley has control of the leg.

Leatherwood is trying to maintain the position but Kerhley is very close to passing his half guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Kerhley thows a huge punch but Leatherwood dodges it nicely.

Kerhley is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Leatherwood is just riding it out for now. Kerhley eventually gives up the hold.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Kerhley manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Leatherwood on his heels. He'll look to pass Leatherwood's guard now, I'm sure.

Kerhley takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Kerhley tries to pass to full mount but Leatherwood defends it.

Kerhley is figuring out what he wants to do next.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!



Kerhley looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

Leatherwood pushes Kerhley off and gets back to his feet.
Leatherwood tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Kerhley paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Kerhley feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Leatherwoods jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Kerhley tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Leatherwood defends well and Kerhley ends up having to push Leatherwood into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Kerhley shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Leatherwood tries a head kick but it misses.
Kerhley doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Leatherwood counters with a straight right hand.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Carlton Kerhley. That's going to take a lot out of him.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Kerhley changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Leatherwood tries to avoid it but Kerhley manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Leatherwood to the ground. Leatherwood escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Kerhley throws a lazy uppercut
and Leatherwood counters with a straight right hand.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Kerhley looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Leatherwood is fending him off so far but Kerhley persists. Nope, Leatherwood circles away and we're back to standing.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Leatherwood! But no joy.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Kerhley shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Leatherwood sprawls well. Leatherwood wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Kerhley gets slowly back to his feet.
Kerhley will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Kerhley swats away the attempt to clinch by Leatherwood.
Leatherwood tests Kerhley's chin there with a solid looking shot.

Leatherwood gets a clinch.
Leatherwood creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Kerhley's defenses.
Kerhley is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Kerhley has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Leatherwood is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Kerhley goes for a takedown in the clinch but Leatherwood prevents it.

Kerhley wants to take the fight to the mat but Leatherwood manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Leatherwood throws an elbow that misses.
Leatherwood lands an elbow just above Kerhley 's eye.


It looks like Carlton Kerhley has been cut.
Leatherwood lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.


Kerhley is rocked!
Leatherwood connects with a knee to the head.
Oh Kerhley is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Leatherwood has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Kerhley takes an elbow to the temple.
Leatherwood throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Kerhley blocks it with crossed arms.
Kerhley has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Leatherwood avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Leatherwood has Kerhley pressed up against the cage in a tight Thai clinch. Kerhley is arching his back, trying to avoid the knees but a big one sneaks through from Leatherwood - that's hurt Kerhley badly! Oh, another knee lands and Kerhley is covering up! The referee steps in to save him - possibly a bit early but Kerhley doesn't seem to be complaining.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:31 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Knees). Malachi Leatherwood!
Jumping up and down and very excited, Malachi Leatherwood waved his t-shirt featuring Bullet Proof System's logo in front of the cameras.
