Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Paul Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bobby TupperII (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
TupperII shoots in but Smith avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Smith tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but TupperII swivels and escapes.

TupperII is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Smith gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Paul Smith has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bobby TupperII.
Smith is trying to drag TupperII to the mat but TupperII just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Smith definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Smith uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before TupperII has time to react.

It looks like Bobby TupperII has been cut.
TupperII tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Smith defends well and TupperII ends up having to push Smith into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

TupperII working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw TupperII working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

TupperII goes for a double leg but Smith avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Smith continues to drive forward.
Horrible takedown attempt by Smith or perhaps it was just good defense by TupperII, which made it look bad.
And TupperII tries to counter it with a takedown but Smith pushes his down on his head and steps out.
