Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Casey Bowman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jim Degrizz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bowman's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Dropkick Murphys - Warriors Code. Degrizz has chosen Battle in prison as his entrance music. Jim Degrizz has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 11 - 0, fighting out of New York, Casey Bowman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jim Degrizz!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Frank Dennis and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A solid leg kick lands there for Degrizz.
Degrizz misses with a hook.
The fighters circling - Degrizz throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Bowman misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Bowman defending well as Degrizz loads up on a big left hand.

Degrizz gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
We've been hearing that Bowman has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.
Degrizz wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Bowman is now in half guard.
Degrizz looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bowman in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Degrizz seems keen to control Bowman's posture.

Bowman stands and throws Degrizz's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Degrizz sneaks back into half guard.
Bowman with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.

Bowman is working for a submission of some sort.
Bowman is looking to take a break and control but Degrizz is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Bowman throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Bowman is working for a kimura but Degrizz is defending it quite comfortably.

Bowman winds up and cracks Degrizz with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Degrizz wants to improve his position but Bowman is controlling well.
Degrizz trying to hold on to Bowman's head to control him but Bowman postures up.
Degrizz is doing well to control the position and prevent Bowman from advancing to side control.
Degrizz is looking to improve his position.
Bowman looks to score some points with some ground and pound.

Bowman is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Degrizz has managed to free his arm - good work.
Bowman is trying to control. Degrizz wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Degrizz works his way to full guard. Good work.
Degrizz is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Bowman wants to improve his position but Degrizz is controlling well.
Degrizz drops an elbow to the side of Bowman's head.

Well, if Degrizz is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Degrizz tries to pass the half guard into mount. Bowman knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Degrizz uses his free foot to push down on Bowman's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Bowman.
Bowman is squirming around, avoiding Degrizz's attempts to control the action.
Degrizz is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Bowman is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Degrizz throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Bowman because Degrizz loaded up on that one.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Degrizz connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Degrizz looking to ground and pound but Bowman is blocking nicely.
Bowman sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Degrizz throws out a token jab with nothing on it.

It looks like Jim Degrizz has been cut.
Bowman is looking to land body kicks.

Bowman shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Degrizz manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Degrizz is trying to keep Bowman in close.

Degrizz tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Degrizz lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Degrizz postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Bowman is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Degrizz, into his guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Degrizz manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Bowman manages to get himself to full guard.

Bowman is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Degrizz avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Bowman wants to sweep but no luck.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Degrizz fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Bowman has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Bowman displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Degrizz throws out the jab.

Bowman walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Bowman has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Degrizz.
Degrizz swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Bowman.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Bowman throws the kick towards the body but Degrizz avoids it.
Degrizz fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Bowman.
Bowman tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Degrizz manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jim Degrizz showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

Degrizz moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.

Bowman on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Degrizz. Degrizz obviously looking to wear him down.
Bowman throws a body shot but no joy.

Bowman goes for a double leg but Degrizz avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Degrizz continues to drive forward.

That kick from Bowman tenderised Degrizz's leg. Degrizz is trying to keep his angry face on.
Degrizz throws a solid leg kick but Bowman takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Degrizz.

Bowman scores with a one two! Degrizz had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Donk. Degrizz catches Bowman right on the button with a cross.
Degrizz scores with the left hand. Bowman knows he should have avoided that one.

Degrizz fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Bowman manages to avoid it.
Bowman ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Degrizz lands with a hook. Bowman tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

and Bowman takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Bowman fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Degrizz to the ground. Bowman is now in Degrizz's guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Degrizz throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Bowman escapes and throws Degrizz's legs to the side, diving into side control!

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Bowman tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Bowman has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Degrizz sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Degrizz is trying to get back to full guard.
Bowman lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Degrizz tries to get to full guard but Bowman has control of the leg.
Bowman is looking to take a break and control but Degrizz is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Degrizz is looking to improve his position.

Bowman decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
Degrizz stuffs the takedown attempt from Bowman. Bowman gets slowly back to his feet.
Degrizz appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.
Degrizz avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Bowman changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Degrizz tries to avoid it but Bowman manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Degrizz to the ground. Degrizz escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Casey Bowman. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Degrizz feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Bowmans jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Bowman shoots in looking for a takedown. Degrizz tries to sprawl out of it but Bowman keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Degrizz manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Bowman darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Ground and pound from Bowman.
Bowman seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Degrizz does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Degrizz preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head.
Degrizz is not content to let Bowman control the position.
Degrizz avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Bowman.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Jim Degrizz.
I've got Degrizz winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
