Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Hannu Haapana (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Peter Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hannu Haapana had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 136.0lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Hannu Haapana looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Haapana moves into the clinch successfully.

Smith's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Haapana throws a leg kick
and Smith counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
A slapping leg kick lands for Smith.
Haapana tries to land a leg kick but Smith saw it coming and moves away.
Haapana jabbing away but nothing is landing.

Haapana moves into the clinch successfully.
Smith is stalling here.
Haapana throws an elbow but it's blocked.
Smith blocks a punch to the side of the head.
A nice left hand lands by Smith.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Haapana pushes off an throws an elbow but Smith leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.

Smith manages to break the clinch.
Haapana tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Smith paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Haapana on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.

It looks like Hannu Haapana has been cut.
Haapana doesn't manage to clinch there - Smith circles away.
Haapana throws a leg kick
letting Smith counter with a right hand.
Smith tries to bum rush Haapana with a series of wild strikes but Haapana uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
A low kick from Haapana misses
and Smith counters with a left right combination that sends Haapana crashing to the mat - Smith wastes no time in diving on top of him and pounding Haapana out for a TKO! Devastating finish!
