Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Olof Orkidea (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Surfer Dude (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Dude's choice of entrance music: The Trashmen - Surfin' Bird. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Orkidea takes a swing at Dude's ribcage but misses.

Despite the aggression on Dude's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.

Dude let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
Orkidea takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Orkidea lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Dude has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Dude and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
The crowd cheers as Dude lands an impressive looking overhand right. Orkidea doesn't seem phased though.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
