Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mad Dog Iii (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nathan Fisher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fisher is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Wasiu - Bout 02 Blow. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mad Dog Iii!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Nathan Fisher!
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Anni Minnemäki and Marco Blurström.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Fisher shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

Fisher is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Dog Iii defends it well.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Fisher takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Fisher lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Dog Iii throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Fisher is looking for the big counter here.
Dog Iii displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Fisher throws out the jab.
Dog Iii fires out a quick counter leg kick but Fisher just manages to avoid it.
Dog Iii throws an overhand right that lands on Fisher's shoulder, as Fisher tries to avoid the shot.
Fisher shoots in looking for a takedown. Dog Iii tries to sprawl out of it but Fisher keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Dog Iii manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Fisher pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Fisher lands a big shot there that rocks Dog Iii but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Nathan Fisher has got the better of the ground game so far.
