The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Amla waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Wesley.
Wesley throws a lazy right hand but Amla sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Nice jab there from Amla.
Amla circles away from the clinch attempt.
Wesley connects with a right hand. Amla shakes it off.
Amla keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Wesley.
Wesley with a nice cross.
Amla slips a jab from Wesley.
Amla takes a jab right on the kisser.
Wesley throws a big shot that misses.
Amla jabs Wesley right on the nose. Wesley blinks but takes it well.
Ryan Wesley seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Wesley moves forwards but Amla connects with a nice, crisp jab.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Donk. Amla catches Wesley right on the button with a cross.
Amla moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Amla moves out of range as Wesley strikes.
It looked like Amla wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Wesley throws a shot from downtown. Amla moves away and avoids it.

Amla throws an off balance right hand
and Wesley counters with a stiff right hand.
Wesley misses with a hook. Amla ducked under it nicely.
Amla throws a lazy uppercut
and Wesley connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Wesley tries to clinch but Amla moves away
and Wesley takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Wesley tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Amla manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Amla listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Wesley lands a jab to the head.
Wesley avoids a punch combination nicely.
Wesley tries to close the distance and clinch up but Amla swats him away and circles back towards the center.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Wesley connects with a crushing straight, right on the bridge of Amla's nose, sending him crumpling to the mat! That's really rocked Amla - is he going to beat the count??? 4,5,6,7,8,9.....10 - he's not made it - this one is all over!
