Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Frankie Corleone!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Marcus Kingston!
The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Lou da Vinci and Eddie Farnsworth.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kingston jabs Corleone right on the nose. Corleone blinks but takes it well.
Kingston cracks Corleone with a right hand to the side of the head.
Corleone uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Kingston.
Corleone feinted there with a counter leg kick.

Corleone feints and as Kingston raises his hands in defense, Corleone changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Kingston is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Corleone pushes down on Kingston's leg and manages to get into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Corleone is thwarting Kingston's attempts to control the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Corleone is taking a breather. Kingston says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Corleone wants to pass to mount but Kingston is defending the position.

Kingston is rocked!
Corleone has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Corleone jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Kingston is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Kingston and Corleone has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Corleone changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Kingston tries to avoid it but Corleone manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Kingston to the ground. Kingston escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

You can see the frustration on Corleone's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Marcus Kingston showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!


The crowd cheers as Kingston lands an impressive looking overhand right. Corleone doesn't seem phased though.

Corleone shoots for a double leg takedown but Kingston sprawls well. He's pushed Corleone's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Kingston might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

Kingston really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Corleone. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Kingston in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.

Corleone lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Kingston takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Corleone's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.
