Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Diego Lupertazzi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Renato Laranja (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Laranja takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Lupertazzi clinches up against the ropes.
A short uppercut from Lupertazzi.
Lupertazzi is leaning against Laranja and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
Lupertazzi misses with an elbow over the top.

Lupertazzi escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Lupertazzi defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Laranja.
Laranja on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Renato Laranja seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lupertazzi avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Lupertazzi pushes Laranja up against the ropes in a clinch.
A nice left hand lands by Lupertazzi.
Laranja drops down looking for an ankle pick but Lupertazzi pulls his leg out and moves away.
Laranja has his takedown stuffed
letting Lupertazzi counter with a right hand.
Diego Lupertazzi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Renato Laranja.

Laranja tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Lupertazzi counters with a three punch combo that has Laranja backing up. Laranja nods at Lupertazzi to acknowledge the strikes.
Nice takedown defense from Lupertazzi. No joy for Laranja on that attempt.

Lupertazzi comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Lupertazzi jabs Laranja to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Lupertazzi cracks a nice hook into Laranja's ribs.
Lupertazzi scores with a jab to the jaw.
Laranja takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Laranja fails in his attempt to clinch.
Lupertazzi scores with a jab. Laranja acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Lupertazzi scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.

Lupertazzi has closed the distance and engaged Laranja in a clinch.
Lupertazzi lands with a left to the head.

An uppercut to the body lands inside from Lupertazzi.

Laranja escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Lupertazzi connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Lupertazzi works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.

Laranja is rocked!
Laranja shoots for a double leg takedown but Lupertazzi sprawls well. He's pushed Laranja's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Laranja is still on wobbly legs! Can Lupertazzi finish him?
Diego Lupertazzi is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Laranja fails with an attempt to clinch.
Laranja seems to have recovered his senses.

Lupertazzi closes the distance and clinches.

Lupertazzi drops Laranja with a big knee straight up the middle! Laranja is covering up against the ropes but manages to escape and gets back to his feet!
Lupertazzi fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Laranja to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Laranja looks to clinch but Lupertazzi throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Laranja taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!
