The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown attempt by Gaffney or perhaps it was just good defense by Brigglett, which made it look bad.
Brigglett stuffs the takedown.
Brigglett went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Brigglett slaps away a takedown attempt from Gaffney, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Dane Brigglett has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hamish Gaffney.
Brigglett smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.

Brigglett throws a lazy right hand but Gaffney sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Brigglett is looking to clinch but Gaffney is avoiding it.

Hamish Gaffney seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Brigglett throws a looping overhand right but Gaffney ducks down to avoid it.
Gaffney swings for the body but Brigglett moves out of range.
Brigglett with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Gaffney lands a head kick. Brigglett smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

It looks like Dane Brigglett has been cut.
A left and a right from Brigglett both land. Nice combination.
Brigglett keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Brigglett seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.

Gaffney closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Brigglett did well to prevent Gaffney getting side control.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Brigglett stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Brigglett wants it to stay on the feet.
Brigglett seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Gaffney scores with a three punch combo!
Brigglett tries to land a leg kick but Gaffney saw it coming and moves away.

Gaffney feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Gaffney throws a nice looking combination but Brigglett bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

An attempted straight right counter from Brigglett misses the target.
Gaffney looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Brigglett is looking to stand back up but Gaffney counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Brigglett.

Brigglett is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Dane Brigglett will probably get the nod.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Gaffney drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Dane Brigglett is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

It looked like Brigglett was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Gaffney.
Gaffney tries for a takedown but Brigglett sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Brigglett lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Gaffney circles away quickly and effectively.

Good leg kick by Brigglett there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Gaffney darts in looking for a takedown but Brigglett gets double underhooks and turns Gaffney into the cage.
Dane Brigglett is winning the standup battle so far.
Brigglett lands a brutal head kick. Gaffney looks out on his feet and Brigglett throws more strikes until the ref is forced to stop the fight!
