The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rockso doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Aokison connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Aokison throws a chopping leg kick but Rockso manages to avoid taking any serious damage.

Rockso clinches up against the cage.

Rockso pulls guard effortlessly.
Rockso keeping moving, preventing Aokison from controlling successfully.
Aokison pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Rockso is keeping the position for now.
Aokison stays in close to Rockso's body and controls the position.
Aokison sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Rockso's guard.
Rockso looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Rockso is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Aokison pulls his head out easily.

Aokison is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Rockso defends it well.

Still in half guard, Aokison seems content to control.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Rockso can do anything to dispel that myth.

Aokison seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Rockso is looking to control Aokison's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Rockso avoid being mounted?

Rockso really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Aokison. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Rockso has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Aokison is working away from the top position though.
