PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jasdeep Heir (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Julian Moore (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jasdeep Heir!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Julian Moore!
The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Dmitry Maklakov and Igor Prikhodko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Moore clinches up against the cage.

Moore breaks from the clinch.
Moore lands with a cross.
Moore clobbers Heir with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Heir is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Moore's half guard.
Heir moves into full mount! Moore won't be happy about that!
Moore is in all sorts of trouble here.
Heir misses with a head shot.
Heir wants to control the pace but Moore is squirming around nicely.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Moore is trying to escape the mount.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Moore tries to lock up and control but Heir gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Heir punching from mount but Moore doing a good job of avoiding damage.

Heir swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Moore is now in Heir's guard. A big mistake from Heir there, giving up the dominant position!
Moore postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Moore works over Heir with some ground and pound from guard.
Moore content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.

Heir is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Moore is aware though and is defending well.

Moore drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Heir manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Moore has Heir in his guard.


That's two minutes gone in the round.
Moore is pulling down on Heir's head. It's preventing any offense from Heir, at least for the moment.
Heir trying to control the position from guard on top but Moore is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Moore wants to sweep here but Heir controlling him for the moment.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Heir trying to control but Moore is working from the bottom.
Heir looking to sit in guard and control but Moore gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Moore makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Heir looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Heir is breathing heavily.
Moore chips away with some ground and pound.
Heir has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.
Moore lands a couple of elbows.

Heir is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Moore is aware though and is defending well.
Moore won't allow Heir to sweep him here.
Moore passes into half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Moore landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.


Heir is rocked!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Moore not doing much here.
Moore looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Heir with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Oh Heir is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Heir has hold of Moore's hands but Moore slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Moore lands a big elbow - Heir is out of it! He's waving his arms around but his eyes are closed and he's not intelligently defending himself - the ref has no choice but to jump in and stop the fight! This one is in the books! A TKO win for Moore!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Julian Moore!
