Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Quinoa Smiff (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jake Tyler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Tyler keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
It seemed like Tyler was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Tyler is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Smiff.

Smiff closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Tyler did well to prevent Smiff getting side control.
Smiff thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Tyler's head.

Smiff is trying to control. Tyler wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Smiff is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Tyler is doing well to control the position and prevent Smiff from advancing to side control.
Smiff uses his free foot to push down on Tyler's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Tyler.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Quinoa Smiff.
I think Smiff has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Quinoa Smiff decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
