Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Victor Stoic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and DeMarcus DeSilva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). DeMarcus DeSilva is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 11 - 0, fighting out of New York, Victor Stoic!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, DeMarcus DeSilva!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Chad Campbell and Joseph Jones.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
DeSilva circles away from the clinch attempt.

A momentary lapse in concentration from DeSilva enables Stoic to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. DeSilva manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Stoic slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Stoic throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as DeSilva works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Stoic pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. DeSilva is keeping the position for now.
Stoic trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
DeSilva looking for a sweep. Not yet DeSilva, not yet.
DeSilva wants to stand up but Stoic is controlling him.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Stoic got a little sloppy there for a moment and DeSilva has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Stoic has managed to get both his arms back between DeSilva's legs - danger averted.

Stoic looking to sit in guard and control but DeSilva gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

DeSilva controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Stoic is trying to control the position but DeSilva postures up.
Stoic is wriggling around but DeSilva manages to pass to half guard.
Stoic is not content to let DeSilva control the position.

DeSilva prevents Stoic from improving his position.

Stoic is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
Well, with DeSilva on his back, surely it's only a matter of time before Stoic is tapping out... Can he escape the position?
Stoic tries to roll but DeSilva sticks to his back.
DeSilva controlling the position well here. Stoic rolled but DeSilva kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Stoic chips away with some ground and pound.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Stoic accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now DeSilva is on top in guard.

Stoic is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
DeSilva passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Stoic tries to bench press DeSilva off him but DeSilva keeps the position.
DeSilva lands a few punches from side control.
Stoic wants to get back to his feet.

DeSilva throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Stoic tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. DeSilva is in Stoic's guard.

DeSilva closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Stoic to the mat! Stoic manages to get full guard.

Stoic pushes DeSilva off and scrambles back to his feet.

DeSilva shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Stoic is trying to defend but DeSilva finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Stoic has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but DeSilva is on him like a limpet, forcing Stoic back against the cage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but DeMarcus DeSilva will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!



Stoic drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Stoic won't allow DeSilva to sweep him here.
Stoic knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for DeSilva on the ground.

DeSilva had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Stoic defends it easily.
Stoic throws an elbow that misses. DeSilva uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Stoic's guard. Nice move by DeSilva!

Stoic is looking to stand up but DeSilva isn't so interested in that idea.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Stoic is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and DeSilva dives into side control.
Stoic is looking for a sweep.
Stoic wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
DeSilva is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Stoic will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
Stoic is looking to regain half guard here but DeSilva keeps moving and retains side control.
Stoic bucks up and tries to throw DeSilva off but instead DeSilva has got his back!
DeSilva has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Stoic's body.
DeSilva has his opponent trapped and is landing shots. Not a good position for Stoic.

Stoic is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if DeSilva gets his way!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

DeSilva slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.

DeMarcus DeSilva comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well DeSilva has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
