The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Palentine throws a good cross that connects.

It looks like Ricky Spanish has been cut.
Palentine seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Spanish has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Spanish there as he acknowledges the shot.
Spanish walks into a jab.
Spanish throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
The fighters circle momentarily. Palentine darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Spanish is rocked!
Palentine is looking for an opening here. He's unloaded a big left hand that catches Spanish flush on the jaw and sends him tumbling to the canvas! Spanish is out cold! Palentine holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!
