The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Plouman fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Blaze sprawls well initially but Plouman persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Plouman wants to take a breather but Blaze is having none of it.
Plouman looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Plouman might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Blaze haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Plouman is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Blaze is desperately trying to improve his position but Plouman has a good base and remains in mount.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Blaze looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Plouman is fending him off so far but Blaze persists. Nope, Plouman circles away and we're back to standing.
Plouman shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Blaze as he jumps to the side.

Blaze stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Blaze wants it to stay on the feet.

Plouman throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Blaze tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Plouman is in Blaze's guard.
