Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Cain Dos Anos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rocky Bullwinkle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Cain Dos Anos!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Rocky Bullwinkle!
The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Daniel Cesar and Thiago Cunha.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Dos Anos lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Bullwinkle has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Bullwinkle and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Bullwinkle misses with a kick to the body
and Dos Anos counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Bullwinkle tests Dos Anos's chin there with a solid looking shot.

Dos Anos throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Bullwinkle tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Dos Anos is in Bullwinkle's guard.
Dos Anos slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Dos Anos has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Dos Anos postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bullwinkle is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Dos Anos sitting in guard here, content to control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Bullwinkle pushes Dos Anos off and gets back to his feet.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Dos Anos breaks the clinch.
A jab lands there for Dos Anos.
Dos Anos defending well as Bullwinkle loads up on a big left hand.
Bullwinkle fails with an attempt to clinch.
Dos Anos pushes Bullwinkle away with a front kick.
Dos Anos scores with a three punch combo!


It looks like Rocky Bullwinkle has been cut.
Danga de danga de dang - Dos Anos scores with a four punch combination!


Bullwinkle is rocked!
Dos Anos has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Bullwinkle finds it's way round the side to connect with Dos Anos's head.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Bullwinkle pushes Dos Anos up against the cage in a clinch.
Dos Anos struggles to land a body shot inside as Bullwinkle controls his hands.

Dos Anos breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Bullwinkle wants to clinch up but Dos Anos keeps it at a distance.
Dos Anos misses with a jab, cross combination.
Dos Anos misses with a takedown attempt - Bullwinkle sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Dos Anos jabbing away but nothing is landing.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Dos Anos is defended easily by Bullwinkle.

Dos Anos moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Bullwinkle lands with a straight right. Dos Anos didn't see that one coming.
Rocky Bullwinkle is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Bullwinkle throws a body shot but no joy.
No joy there for Bullwinkle, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Bullwinkle scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Bullwinkle fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Bullwinkle tries to close the distance and clinch but Dos Anos swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Dos Anos seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Dos Anos misses with an uppercut.
Dos Anos lands with a good body shot.

Dos Anos closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Dos Anos lands in his opponent's guard.
Dos Anos stops Bullwinkle from standing up.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Bullwinkle can do anything to dispel that myth.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Bullwinkle wants to sweep but no luck.
Bullwinkle wants to get back to his feet but Dos Anos is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Bullwinkle really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Dos Anos. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Bullwinkle is looking to stand up but Dos Anos isn't so interested in that idea.
Dos Anos slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Dos Anos is standing up over Bullwinkle. Bullwinkle looks to escape but Dos Anos dives into side control.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Bullwinkle dodges the ground and pound from Dos Anos.

Dos Anos throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Bullwinkle works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.

Bullwinkle is trying to stand up here but Dos Anos is controlling him well.

Dos Anos has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Dos Anos content to control rather than advance.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Cain Dos Anos dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Rocky Bullwinkle's cut.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Bullwinkle gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Bullwinkle misses with a double jab.
Bullwinkle tries to bum rush Dos Anos with a series of wild strikes but Dos Anos uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Dos Anos misses with a body shot.
Dos Anos tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Bullwinkle throws a counter combo.
Cain Dos Anos is winning the standup battle so far.
Bullwinkle throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Dos Anos.
Bullwinkle uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Bullwinkle misses with a head kick.
Bullwinkle jabs Dos Anos right on the nose. Dos Anos blinks but takes it well.

Dos Anos feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Bullwinkle is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Dos Anos dives into side control.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Bullwinkle pushes Dos Anos away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Dos Anos gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Bullwinkle seems a little lost for a moment, as Dos Anos dominates the positioning.
Dos Anos lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.

Bullwinkle is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Dos Anos is looking to take a break and control but Bullwinkle is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The strikes coming from Dos Anos are missing the target in this wave of attacks.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Bullwinkle is pushing Dos Anos's head away, looking to escape. Dos Anos manages to hold on to the position though.
Bullwinkle seems a little lost for a moment, as Dos Anos dominates the positioning.
Bullwinkle takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Bullwinkle takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Bullwinkle is still in real trouble! Can Dos Anos finish him?

Dos Anos scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Bullwinkle is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Dos Anos can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:42 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Cain Dos Anos!
