Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Emily Weaver (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Freddy Evans (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Evans is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: "A Country Boy Can Survive" by Hank Williams Jr.. Emily Weaver looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Ren Mimura and Tatsuya Matsuyama.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Evans keeps the fight on the outside.
Weaver is looking to clinch but Evans is avoiding it.
Evans bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Evans shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Weaver's guard.
Weaver escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Evans gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Weaver is looking for a triangle but Evans pushes his legs off easily.

Evans stands and throws Weaver's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Evans tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Evans has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Weaver is not content to let Evans control the position.

Evans works to advance to full mount. Weaver defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Weaver is desperately trying to improve his position but Evans has a good base and remains in mount.
Weaver is squirming around, avoiding Evans's attempts to control the action.
Evans wants to finish this one by submission but Weaver is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Evans.

Evans throws a solid leg kick but Weaver takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Evans.
Evans throws a wild body kick that Weaver sees coming a mile off.

and Evans counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Weaver's guard now.
Evans is pushing down on Weaver's leg trying to pass to half guard. Weaver is fighting to maintain full guard but Evans has managed to sneak the leg through.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Evans lands with a nice combination. Weaver backs away looking to recover.
Evans tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Evans shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Evans showed some decent athleticism there.
