Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Franky Yip (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dark Terror (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Franky Yip!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Dark Terror!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Shigeki Sano and Sosuke Kotani.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Terror misses with a leg kick.

Terror feints and as Yip raises his hands in defense, Terror changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Yip holds on and takes a little breather.

Yip lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Terror gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Yip.
I was talking to Yip's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Franky Yip.
I have no idea who won that fight. Let's wait and see whether the judges are as confused as me! Time for a split decision perhaps?!. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
