Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Nelson Hahn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kunta Kinte (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Nelson Hahn!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Kunta Kinte!
The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Arvi Lind and Roosa Järviläinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kinte rushes Hahn and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Kinte jumps guard and drags Hahn to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Kinte keeping moving, preventing Hahn from controlling successfully.
Kinte pulls Hahn in close to prevent any damage.
Hahn postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Kinte bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Hahn's guard.

Kinte controls from within his opponent's guard.
Hahn doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kinte controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Hahn wants to stand up but Kinte is controlling him.

Kinte is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Hahn pulls Kinte in close to his closed guard and prevents Kinte from doing any damage or advancing position.
Hahn is trying to hold Kinte in close to prevent damage but Kinte has managed to pass into half guard.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Kinte connects with a nice short shot to Hahn's temple.
Kinte looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
The fighters are battling for position here. Hahn manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Kinte lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Kinte advances to half guard.

Kinte is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Hahn is just riding it out for now. Kinte eventually gives up the hold.

Kinte decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.

Kinte forces Hahn back against the cage and clinches.
Hahn drops down looking for an ankle pick but Kinte pulls his leg out and moves away.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Kinte prevents the takedown attempt.

Kinte has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Hahn clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Kinte gets his hands free as Hahn looks to control.
Kinte just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.

Kinte lands with a nice looking elbow that stuns Hahn.
Hahn looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.
Hahn is in bad spot here.
Hahn is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet.
Kinte just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Hahn tries to escape but Kinte has the hooks in and won't let him break free.

Kinte is looking for a rear naked choke here but Hahn reverses the position brilliantly into Kinte's guard!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kunta Kinte dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Kinte stands and steps away. Hahn gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

and Hahn counters with a right hand to the body.

Kinte escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Kinte looks for a takedown but Hahn sprawls well.

Hahn is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Kinte is defending well.
Kinte prevents the takedown attempt.
Kinte has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Kinte is pressed up against the cage. Hahn has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Kinte down to the mat. Kinte avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Nelson Hahn. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Hahn tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Kunta Kinte seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Kinte closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
A bit of stalling here from Kinte.
Hahn wants to take the fight to the mat but Kinte manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Kinte manages to pull guard.
Hahn has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Kinte uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Kinte tries a head kick but it misses.
Nelson Hahn is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

A nice combination there by Kinte.


It looks like Nelson Hahn has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Kinte blocks the body kick.
Kinte changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Hahn tries to avoid it but Kinte manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Hahn to the ground. Hahn escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Kinte gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Hahn turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Hahn manages to end up in side control.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Kinte holds on tight, trying to prevent any damage.

Kinte tries to bench press Hahn off him but Hahn keeps the position.

Kinte bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!

Hahn lands a couple of shots from the bottom.

Kinte passes Hahn's left leg - he's now in half guard.

Kinte is looking for a kimura but Hahn is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Kinte to get the leverage.

Hahn is looking to escape.
Hahn is looking for a sweep. Kinte is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Kinte seems to be working for a kimura but Hahn defends the submission attempt.

Hahn is kicking away at Kinte from the bottom - trying to push off and stand up. Kinte grabs hold of a leg and drops back for a heel hook! The two fighters roll across the mat, with Hahn trying to push Kinte off... Hahn taps! He's tapped! This one is all over! A throwback to the old Pancrase there with an infrequently seen submission hold! Nice work.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Heel Hook). Kunta Kinte!
