Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rafael Cortez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Djamel Hammouche (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cortez comes to the cage accompanied by Wake Me Up. Djamel Hammouche will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hammouche throws out a powerful jab.

It looks like Rafael Cortez has been cut.
A combination from Hammouche does no damage.

Cortez throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Hammouche was covering up waiting for the punch and Cortez finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Hammouche is looking for a triangle but Cortez pushes his legs off easily.
Cortez is working Hammouche over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Cortez passes Hammouche's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Hammouche tries to roll over but Cortez keeps him under control.

Cortez seems to be working for a kimura but Hammouche defends the submission attempt.
Hammouche is pressing down on Cortez's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Cortez lying in Hammouche's guard like a wet fish here, stalling away. Hammouche decides he's had enough of all that nonsense - he escapes his hips and locks up an armbar! Wow, that was slick! Cortez taps! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!

After the fight, Djamel Hammouche was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
