The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bronson swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Bronson wants to clinch

and Pariyar counters with a nice double leg into side control. Bronson won't be happy with that.
Bronson definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Pariyar is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Bronson has escaped the position, nice work there.
Bronson pushes Pariyar away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Pariyar gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Pariyar is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Bronson knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Pariyar decides to stand up, so the ref orders Bronson to his feet.

Pariyar had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Bronson defends it easily.

Bronson has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Bronson got a little sloppy there for a moment and Pariyar has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Bronson has managed to get both his arms back between Pariyar's legs - danger averted.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Bronson throws a strike but Pariyar rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Pariyar is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Bronson's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Bronson's back!

Pariyar is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Bronson has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.
Bronson is defending well here and trying to improve his position.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
I would not like to be Bronson right now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bronson feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Pariyars jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

and Pariyar decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Bronson's guard.

Pariyar stands up and waves to Bronson to follow him.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
