The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Anthony Taglia and Bruno Lombardi.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Marciano shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Marciano with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
Nettaigyo is looking for a sweep. Marciano is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Marciano seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Nettaigyo does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Nettaigyo is pressing down on Marciano's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Marciano engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Marciano stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Nettaigyo swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Nettaigyo looking for a guillotine here but Marciano defends easily.

Nettaigyo escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Marciano gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Nettaigyo looking to hit a scissor sweep but Marciano is one step ahead there.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Nettaigyo is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Nettaigyo working for a triangle but Marciano defends it easily.

Nettaigyo has his foot on Marciano's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Marciano works his way back into a safe position though.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Tsumetai Nettaigyo.
