Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dallas Ware (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matt Nunez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Dallas Ware!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Matt Nunez!
The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Sosuke Kotani and Ren Mimura.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nunez connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Nunez lands an overhand right.
Matt Nunez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ware walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Nunez takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Nunez throws a hook to the side of Ware's head but Ware sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Ware feinted there with a counter leg kick.
Nunez stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Nunez wants it to stay on the feet.
Nunez slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Nunez looks to land a combination but Ware avoids it well.
Ware will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Nunez misses the shot to the body.
As Nunez looks to move away, Ware throws a big counter combo but Nunez just gets out of the way.

Ware shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Nunez manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Ware controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Nunez wants to sweep but no luck.
Nunez wants to stand and escape but Ware is having none of it.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Ware with a flurry of punches that miss.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Ware checks a leg kick.
Nunez connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Nunez bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Ware takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Nunez connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Ware momentarily.
Nunez is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Ware had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.

Nunez throws out a loose jab but Ware uses good head movement to avoid it.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dallas Ware. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Ware shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Nunez pinned against the cage. Nunez gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Ware shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Nunez misses with a straight right.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Nunez lands a jab.
Nunez is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
Ware ducks right into an uppercut from Nunez.

Nunez comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Nunez throws a jab when Ware was well out of range.
As Nunez backs away, Ware returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.
Nunez is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Ware takes one to the chin there.
Ware shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Nunez defends it nicely.
Nunez might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
Nunez misses with a wild body shot.
An attempted straight right counter from Ware misses the target.
Nunez clobbers Ware with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Nunez swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Ware could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Nunez lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

Ware drives through with a takedown into guard.
Nunez is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Ware drops back looking for a leg! Nunez is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Nunez manages to kick Ware off! Ware jumps back into Nunez's guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Ware is working Nunez over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Nunez wants to stand up but Ware is controlling him.

Ware drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Ware jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Nunez cracks Ware with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Ware shoots for a takedown but Nunez saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Matt Nunez seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Nunez lands with a cross.
Nunez scores with a punch to the head.
Horrible takedown attempt by Ware or perhaps it was just good defense by Nunez, which made it look bad.
Nunez swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
A decent looking cross lands there for Nunez.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ware slips a jab and a cross from Nunez.
Ware looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

and Ware counters with a left and a right that stings Nunez.

Matt Nunez is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Ware uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Nunez.
Ware takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Ware takes one to the chin there.
Ware looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that.

Nunez leaves Ware with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Nunez misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Nunez is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Ware.
Ware appears to be looking for a big counter.
Nunez moves into range and connects with a jab.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Nunez enables Ware to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Nunez manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Nunez wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Ware manages to pass to side control.

Ware slips a nice elbow through Nunez's hands, connecting with Nunez's forehead.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Nunez can do anything to dispel that myth.

Nunez is trying to escape back to his feet but Ware uses the scramble to pass into side control.
Nunez bucks up and tries to throw Ware off but instead Ware has got his back!
Ware really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Nunez.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Matt Nunez showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Ware's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!


Nunez misses with an uppercut. Ware saw that one coming.
Ware throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Nunez's waist but Nunez gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Ware off to one side.
Nunez throws out a counter right but Ware avoids it with no problem.

Ware blocks a low kick nicely.
Ware went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.

Dallas Ware is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Nunez looks to land a left hand but Ware moved out of range nicely.

Ware closes the distance and clinches up with Nunez, looking for a takedown. Ware pushes Nunez against the cage but Nunez circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Ware feints and as Nunez raises his hands in defense, Ware changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Ware prevents Nunez from getting back to his feet.

Dallas Ware overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Ware content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Nunez wants to hit a switch here but Ware passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Nunez there!

Ware lands with some strikes.
Matt Nunez is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Nunez tries to lock up and control but Ware gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Ware sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Ware scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Nunez?

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Ware cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Nunez squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.

Nunez defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Ware.
Nunez tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Nunez takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Nunez is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Ware controlling the pace for now.
Dallas Ware has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Ware putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound!

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Dallas Ware.
I think Nunez has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
