Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Benson Whyte (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lee Hedger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Whyte comes into the arena with Bob Marley - Jammin blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Lee Hedger!
The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Shigeki Fujiwara and Ren Mimura.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Whyte throws a body shot but no joy.
Hedger displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Whyte throws out the jab.
Hedger fails with the takedown.
Whyte was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Whyte darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Whyte lands with a thumping leg kick.
Nice shot by Whyte.
Nice uppercut there from Whyte.
It looks like Lee Hedger has been cut.
Whyte throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Whyte gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Hedger to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Whyte is controlling Hedger's posture.
Whyte tries to land a sweep but no joy.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Whyte uses the ropes to get back to his feet.
Hedger ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Whyte misses the shot to the body.
And Hedger tries to counter it with a takedown but Whyte pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Hedger fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Hedger swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Whyte lands a nice shot that snaps Hedger's head back.
Whyte swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Hedger feints the counter takedown.

and Whyte counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Benson Whyte has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lee Hedger.
Hedger has his takedown stuffed
and Whyte counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Hedger misses with a takedown attempt
and Whyte cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Hedger looks for a takedown but Whyte sprawls well.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Whyte swings for the body but Hedger moves out of range.
Hedger with the counter takedown but Whyte avoids it easily.
Whyte lands a big head kick that sends Hedger tumbling to the mat! Whyte takes a step backwards and waves Hedger back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Hedger is rocked!
Whyte gets a clinch.
Hedger is still on wobbly legs! Can Whyte finish him?
Whyte creates a bit of space for himself and rocks Hedger with a big uppercut! Hedger tries to clinch up but Whyte pushes him back against the ropes and lands another monster strike that crumples Hedger to the mat! Hedger covers up and Whyte unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:22 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Benson Whyte!
