Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jamie Jensen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bruce Roy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jamie Jensen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bruce Roy!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Chris Downing and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - Roy looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Jensen drops down looking for a counter takedown but Roy sprawls and moves away.

Roy looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jensen moves into full guard.
Roy being controlled here momentarily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jensen trying to control the position.

Roy preventing the sweep.
Roy really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Jensen. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Jensen working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Roy.
Jensen is looking to stand up but Roy isn't so interested in that idea.
Jensen keeping moving, preventing Roy from controlling successfully.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Jensen.

Jensen trying to control the action but Roy is working from the bottom.
Roy can't do much from the bottom here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Jensen stands up and beckons Roy to his feet.

Roy shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Jensen manages to escape and get back to his feet!

A momentary lapse in concentration from Jensen enables Roy to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Jensen manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Jensen has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Roy off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
Bruce Roy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Roy gets caught napping as Jensen dives in and scores a takedown. Roy manages to retain guard.
Roy looks winded!

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Jensen stands up from guard. Let's bang!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Roy tries to close the distance and clinch but Jensen swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Jensen tries to counter by clinching up but Roy breaks away and moves out of range.

Roy moves to clinch but Jensen breaks away

and Jensen counters with a nice double leg into side control. Roy won't be happy with that.

Jensen working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Jensen tries for a kimura but Roy is defending well.
Roy can't do much from the bottom here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Roy shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Jensen is trying to defend but Roy finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Jensen manages to escape and get back to his feet!

Jensen closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Roy tries to roll over but Jensen keeps him under control.

Jensen is looking for a kimura but Roy is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Jensen to get the leverage.
Roy tries to kick Jensen off but Jensen keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Roy trying to hold on to Jensen's head to control him but Jensen postures up.
Roy is breathing heavily.

Jensen stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
Jensen is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Roy can do to turn this around?

Roy fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Jensen sprawls well initially but Roy persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Jensen kicks off Roy and gets to his feet.
Jensen slips a jab and a cross from Roy.
Roy wants to clinch up but Jensen keeps it at a distance.
Jensen half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.

Roy shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Jensen's guard.

Jensen wriggles free and stands up.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Roy manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Jensen on his heels. He'll look to pass Jensen's guard now, I'm sure.

Jensen is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.

and Jensen counters with a takedown into side control.

Jensen decides to stand up, so the ref orders Roy to his feet.
Jamie Jensen is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Jensen shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Roy is trying to defend but Jensen finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Roy is trying to control but Jensen passes into side control!

Jensen is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Roy has escaped the position, nice work there.

Jensen stands up and beckons Roy to his feet.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Jensen bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Roy is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Jensen wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Roy, who protects the arm well.
Roy is trying to work for a sweep but Jensen has mounted him!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jamie Jensen dominated that second round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!



Jensen closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Roy's guard.

Jensen stands and steps away. Roy gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Jensen could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Roy scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.

Jensen bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Roy fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Jensen to the ground. Roy is now in Jensen's guard.
Jensen lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Roy takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Jensen decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

That's one minute gone in the round.
A lazy body kick from Roy

and Jensen counters with a nice double leg into side control. Roy won't be happy with that.
Roy is looking to get back to his feet here but Jensen is keeping cool and he's managed to take Roy's back.
Roy tries to escape but Jensen has the hooks in and won't let him break free.

Jensen is persistently looking for the submission but Roy is defending it well.
Roy just trying to survive but Jensen is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish.

Jensen patiently working for the choke. Which fighter will keep their nerve here?

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Jensen is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Roy knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Roy for a finish.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Roy tries to roll but Jensen sticks to his back.
