Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Lawerence Spencer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Donte Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson misses with a takedown attempt - Spencer sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Spencer jumps guard and drags Johnson to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Johnson is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Spencer escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Johnson gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Johnson got a little sloppy there for a moment and Spencer has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Johnson has managed to get both his arms back between Spencer's legs - danger averted.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
