PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between PM Sunk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thor Evanson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sunk connects with a right hand. Evanson shakes it off.

Evanson has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Sunk finds it's way round the side to connect with Evanson's head.
Evanson takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

and Evanson holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Evanson manages to break the clinch.
Evanson lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Evanson.
Sunk throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Evanson's waist but Evanson gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Sunk off to one side.
Evanson appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.
Evanson needs to keep his hands up - Sunk had a free shot at his head there.
Evanson moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

That was a close second round but I would say that PM Sunk will probably get the nod.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Sunk, as that shot connected.

As Sunk backs off Evanson throws a huge counter combo but Sunk manages to avoid it all.
Evanson stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Evanson wants it to stay on the feet.

Evanson fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Sunk, pushing him back against the cage.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Sunk tries to score a body lock takedown but Evanson shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Sunk tries to pull guard but Evanson holds him up against the cage and eventually Sunk drops back down to his feet.

Evanson has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye.
Sunk dives in for a single leg takedown but Evanson sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Sunk doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

Sunk jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Thor Evanson has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

I would just about give that final round to Thor Evanson.
