PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Terryn Dall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Randy Curran (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dall kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Skin for Skin. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Terryn Dall!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Randy Curran!
The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Fedor Mirinova and Igor Prikhodko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Curran moves to clinch but Dall breaks away
and Dall counters with a left to the body.
Dall scores with a crisp jab that stopped Curran in his tracks.
Dall takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Dall decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Dall trying to control the action but Curran is working from the bottom.
Curran is trying to get back to full guard.
Curran is looking to control Dall's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Curran avoid being mounted?
Curran tries to kick Dall off in order to stand up. Dall Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.
Dall tries to move into full mount but can't pass Curran's legs.

Curran is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Dall looking to secure an arm triangle but Curran defends it well.

Dall looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
Curran is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Dall punching from mount but Curran doing a good job of avoiding damage.

Curran is looking to improve his position but Dall isn't that keen on the idea.

Dall postures up in Curran's guard and throws a big left but Curran blocks it.

Dall is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Curran has escaped the position, nice work there.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Dall controls the position.
Curran tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Dall wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Dall is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Curran knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Curran stops Dall from passing to mount.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
You can see the frustration on Curran's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Dall's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


A looping hook to the body misses from Curran. Dall does a little dance to reset his feet.
Curran looks to throw the jab but Dall is out of range.

It looks like Randy Curran has been cut.

Curran's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Dall connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Curran scrambles back to his feet.

Dall attempts a counter takedown but Curran avoids it well and moves away.

Curran scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Curran throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

and Dall takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Dall lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Curran takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Dall tries to land a leg kick but Curran saw it coming and moves away.
Curran chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Dall can pounce on him.

Curran bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Dall's head.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Curran.

The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

That was a close second round but I would say that Terryn Dall will probably get the nod.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Terryn Dall.
Well Dall has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
