Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Octavio Orr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Memphis McNamarra (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Memphis McNamarra has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 6 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Octavio Orr!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Memphis McNamarra!
The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Dmitry Maklakov and Illya Tyunina.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

McNamarra shoots in and bounces Orr off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Orr can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as McNamarra controls the pace.
McNamarra connects with a couple of short punches.
Orr can't keep his opponent in guard - McNamarra advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

McNamarra is working for a kimura but Orr is defending it quite comfortably.

Orr misses with a takedown attempt - McNamarra sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

McNamarra stands up over Orr, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
McNamarra stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Orr swivels though and keeps the full guard.
McNamarra has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Orr is proving hard to escape from.

McNamarra wants to control from the top but Orr keeps moving.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Orr tries to close the distance and clinch up but McNamarra swats him away and circles back towards the center.
McNamarra wants to counter with a clinch but Orr pushes him away.

McNamarra clinches up with Orr and pushes him back against the cage.

McNamarra has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Orr uses from the top position.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
McNamarra throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Orr tries to clinch up but McNamarra circles away and keeps his distance.
As Orr backs off McNamarra throws a huge counter combo but Orr manages to avoid it all.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Orr's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
McNamarra thows a huge punch but Orr dodges it nicely.
Memphis McNamarra has got the better of the ground game so far.
Orr is looking to escape.
Orr wants to improve his position but McNamarra is controlling well.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
McNamarra content to control rather than advance.

McNamarra throws a strike aimed at the side of Orr's head but Orr avoids it well.
You can see the frustration on Orr's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Orr looks to move to half guard but instead McNamarra has passed into mount! Damn!

McNamarra takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
McNamarra tries to control but Orr wriggling away.
Orr sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
Orr has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. McNamarra is working away from the top position though.
McNamarra throwing shots but Orr is blocking nicely.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Memphis McNamarra showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Orr is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Orr blocks the strikes from McNamarra.
Orr wants to take a breather but McNamarra is having none of it.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Orr is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

McNamarra feints and as Orr raises his hands in defense, McNamarra changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Memphis McNamarra comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well McNamarra has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
