Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Vladimir Petrov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Phill Adams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Petrov comes to the cage accompanied by How we do. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Petrov misses with a wild body shot.
Vladimir Petrov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Petrov misses with a jab, cross combination.
Petrov throws a head kick but Adams moves out of range.
Adams shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Petrov as he jumps to the side.
Petrov defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Adams.

Petrov rushes Adams and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Adams is looking to break free of the clinch but Petrov has double underhooks.

Petrov gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Adams regains guard.

Adams pushes Petrov off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Petrov takes the fight into the clinch.
Adams goes for a takedown in the clinch but Petrov prevents it.
Vladimir Petrov has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Phill Adams.

Adams is working for takedown but Petrov is calmly controlling the position for now.

Petrov gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Petrov is taking a breather. Adams says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Adams is trying to stand up here but Petrov is controlling him well.
Adams wants to control but Petrov is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Petrov thows a huge punch but Adams dodges it nicely.

Adams is looking to escape.
Petrov looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Petrov looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Adams with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Petrov working over Adams with some ground and pound. Adams looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.

Adams is trying to control but can't.

Petrov is working for a submission of some sort.

Petrov perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Petrov working over Adams with some ground and pound. Adams looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Petrov content to control rather than advance.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Petrov drops an elbow to the side of Adams's head.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Adams is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Petrov pulls his head out easily.
Petrov not doing much here.
Petrov lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Petrov takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Petrov escapes and gets back to his feet.
Adams shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Petrov is looking for a counter combo.
Adams looks winded!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Adams is defended easily by Petrov.

Petrov closes the distance and pushes Adams back into the cage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Vladimir Petrov dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Adams moves in looking to clinch but Petrov pushes him off.
Adams dives in and grabs Petrov's left leg, looking for a takedown. Petrov pushes down on Adams's head and hops out.
A counter left hand to the body from Petrov misses its target.
Petrov thuds his right hand into Adams's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Petrov attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.

Petrov has taken the fight to the clinch.
Adams looking to slow down the pace here.

Petrov manages to break the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Adams tries to sprawl but Petrov drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Petrov content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Petrov landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.

Well, if Petrov is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Adams is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Petrov scores with a couple of nice shots.
Vladimir Petrov overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Petrov has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Adams defend it? Petrov steps over the head and cranks it - Adams is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Petrov!

Vladimir Petrov spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
