The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diggs stuffs the takedown attempt from Caholic. Caholic gets slowly back to his feet.

Diggs gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

We've been informed that Diggs has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Diggs takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Caholic throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Caholic changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Diggs tries to avoid it but Caholic manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Diggs to the ground. Diggs escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Al Caholic. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Diggs lands a jab to Caholic's midsection.

Diggs throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Caholic swings wildly with an uppercut but Diggs uses good head movement to avoid it.
Caholic is trying to drag Diggs to the mat but Diggs just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Caholic is fighting off a takedown attempt but Diggs is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Caholic to the mat. Caholic regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Diggs wants to control from the top but Caholic keeps moving.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Diggs stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Caholic swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Diggs is working Caholic over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Caholic is trying to keep Diggs in close.
Diggs makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Diggs stands and throws Caholic's legs to the side, diving into side control.

You get the feeling that Caholic really doesn't like being in this position too much.

Diggs pushing out the jab but it's not landing.

Caholic drops down looking for a counter takedown but Diggs sprawls and moves away.
Diggs looks to throw the jab but Caholic is out of range.

Diggs bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Caholic's head backwards.

It looks like Al Caholic has been cut.
Diggs cracks Caholic with a right hand to the side of the head.

Caholic takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Oh Caholic is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Diggs is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Caholic's half guard.
Robert Diggs has got the better of the ground game so far.
Diggs lands a big elbow - Caholic is out of it! He's waving his arms around but his eyes are closed and he's not intelligently defending himself - the ref has no choice but to jump in and stop the fight! This one is in the books! A TKO win for Diggs!
