Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jasper Hendrix (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Theo Fento (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hendrix takes a kick to the side of the head.

It looks like Jasper Hendrix has been cut.
Hendrix wants to clinch up but Fento keeps it at a distance.
A combination from Fento does no damage.

Hendrix gets tackled into the cage by Fento. Fento maintains the clinch.

Fento pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Fento clinches up with Hendrix and pushes him back against the cage.
Fento jumps guard but Hendrix turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Hendrix swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Hendrix tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Fento just stands there and leans against the cage.

Fento has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Hendrix uses from the top position.

Hendrix really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Fento tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Hendrix defends well and Fento ends up having to push Hendrix into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Fento throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Hendrix tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Fento is in Hendrix's guard.

Hendrix scrambles and gets back to his feet.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Hendrix tries to close the distance and clinch but Fento swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Fento looks like he wanted to counter with a high kick but didn't throw it.
Fento swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Hendrix counters with a one-two to the body.

Fento closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Hendrix to the mat! Hendrix manages to get full guard.
Fento is breathing heavily.
Hendrix is looking to stand up but Fento isn't so interested in that idea.

Fento decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Fento drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Hendrix is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Fento landing with strikes to the head and body from side control.
Fento remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Fento is looking to take a break and control but Hendrix is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Fento dives in and grabs Hendrix's left leg, looking for a takedown. Hendrix pushes down on Fento's head and hops out.

Fento has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Hendrix is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Fento breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Well Fento has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
