Coming up we have a heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between The Sumo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Scott John (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, The Sumo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Scott John!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Wagner Zegers and Nard Betker.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
John fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Sumo manages to avoid it.
John works over Sumo's head and body with a nice combination.
John throws a nice head kick!
John misses with a leg kick
and Sumo counters with a nice body shot.
John scores with a jab. Sumo acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
John cracks Sumo with an open hand slap.
John pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Sumo swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
John misses with a series of wild punches.
John stuns Sumo with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

That's one minute gone in the round.
The fight stays on the outside here - John looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Sumo appears to be looking for a big counter.
John rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Sumo moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Sumo takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
John lands with a nice body kick.
Sumo walks forward, straight into a front kick from John.
John lands with a right hand.
Sumo's hands are dropping dangerously low here and John connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Sumo scrambles back to his feet.
Sumo takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
John bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Sumo's head backwards.
John connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
John is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
Sumo keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Sumo went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Sumo takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
John tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
John scores with a jab to the body.
John throws a nice outside leg kick.
John tries to close the distance and clinch up but Sumo swats him away and circles back towards the center.
It looked like Sumo was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
John throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
John gets off balance looking for a body kick
enabling Sumo to counter with a crisp jab.
John has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
John connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
John throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
A little feinted left hand from Sumo on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
A nice inside leg kick there by John. That's going to slow Sumo down.
John throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
John fails to land with a series of punches.
A cross from John lands.
Sumo on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
The fighters circle momentarily. John darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
John looks to land a body kick but Sumo moved away.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
John connects with a crisp jab.
Sumo has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from John finds it's way round the side to connect with Sumo's head.


Sumo is rocked!
John circles away before darting back in with a big straight right hand. It connects beautifully and sends Sumo tumbling to the canvas! He's out cold! John wins by KO!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Scott John!
A relieved looking Scott John thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
