Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Otha Roman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Moses Puppicis!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Daniel Franklin and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from Puppicis.
Puppicis goes for a high kick. It partially lands.


It looks like Otha Roman has been cut.
Puppicis defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Roman.
It seemed like Puppicis was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

Puppicis gets a clinch.
Puppicis fails to pull guard.
Puppicis wants to take the fight to the mat but Roman manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Puppicis dives in and grabs Roman's left leg, looking for a takedown. Roman pushes down on Puppicis's head and hops out.
Roman drops down looking for a counter takedown but Puppicis sprawls and moves away.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Roman accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Roman decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Roman could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Puppicis tries to counter with a clinch but Roman shakes him off and moves away.
Puppicis darts in looking for a takedown but Roman gets double underhooks and turns Puppicis into the cage.

Puppicis gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Puppicis on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.

Puppicis's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Horrible takedown attempt by Puppicis or perhaps it was just good defense by Roman, which made it look bad.
Roman slaps away a takedown attempt from Puppicis, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Puppicis looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Roman is fending him off so far but Puppicis persists. Nope, Roman circles away and we're back to standing.
Roman tries to counter with a takedown but Puppicis is quick to defend against it.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Roman fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Puppicis avoids it really well and circles away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Roman is pressed up against the cage. Puppicis has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Roman down to the mat. Roman avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Puppicis tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Roman paws at him with a jab and circles away.

The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.

Puppicis jumps guard but Roman stands there with Puppicis around his waist. Puppicis gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Roman tries to throw a body punch but Puppicis avoids it by throwing Roman back against the cage.
Roman tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Puppicis's elbow.

Puppicis feints a jab promting Roman to slip. Puppicis then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Roman slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Puppicis darts in looking for a takedown but Roman gets double underhooks and turns Puppicis into the cage.
Roman appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Otha Roman has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Moses Puppicis.

Roman shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

Well Puppicis has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
