The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Steamboat has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Santos Diaz finds it's way round the side to connect with Steamboat's head.

and Santos Diaz counters with a good low kick that Steamboat was not able to check.

Steamboat shoots in looking for a takedown. Santos Diaz tries to sprawl out of it but Steamboat keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Santos Diaz manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
